Day 11 - Julisa
3:oo am in the morning…that was the time I was suppose to wake up. But I needed a least 5 more minutes, so I hit the snooze button. 3:05, I dragged myself out of bed to get ready. As I joined my cultural leadership family in the lobby we all seemed to have the same expressions..dull…tired…not enthusiastic what so ever. I took a seat in the first shuttle, with my group Brandon, Juliana, Drew, Erin, Helen and our trip leader Maayan. I couldn’t seem to understand why the heck was she so perky and cheery…was it coffee? Red bull? Any form of caffeine perhaps?? But then it suddenly came to me, even though I was tired, sleepy, and slightly irritated, I had to remember it’s not where I am but where I’m going. In Atlanta we were going to experience the civil rights movement up close and personal. As well as visit places like Ebenezer Baptist church, which Martain Luther King will be remembered forever. The trip so far has been incredible and I feel very thankful to have this opportunity. As for right now…HELLO ATLANTA!!!
